About University of East Anglia
The University of East Anglia (UEA) Norwich Medical School offers a five-year MBBS programme on one of England's most innovative campuses. Clinical rotations take place at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH) — a 1,200-bed teaching hospital on the UEA campus itself (one of the few UK medical schools with an on-campus hospital), James Paget University Hospital, and community placements across Norfolk. UEA's curriculum was designed from scratch in 2002 as an integrated, case-based programme with early clinical contact.
Research strengths include food, diet and health (the Norwich Research Park co-locates four major food and health research institutes), metabolic health, respiratory disease, and healthcare for older people. The campus itself is a Brutalist architectural landmark surrounded by parkland on Norwich's western edge. Norwich is a Cathedral city with medieval charm, independent spirit, and excellent quality of life.
For UK students, UEA offers on-campus hospital convenience, innovative curriculum design, and strong food and metabolic health research in one of England's most pleasant mid-size cities.
